Inspired by over a decade of extensive travel throughout the islands of Greece, DineAmic Hospitality partners, David Rekhson and Luke Stoioff, acquired a profound appreciation for the natural Greek lifestyle. Rooted in the Greek ethos of wellness, LÝRA brings fresh, holistic fare to Chicago diners in an earth-toned, indoor-meets-outdoor space. LÝRA's design utilizes rustic elements of rural Greek landscapes and integrates them into Fulton Market’s contemporary setting.
THE CHEF
In order to fully execute the vision, LÝRA has partnered with the Greek culinary superstar, Athinagoras Kostakos. The award-winning, internationally-acclaimed Chef takes full advantage of LÝRA's custom wood and charcoal burning hearth, by applying island cooking techniques. Expect simple dishes with bold flavors that rely on the quality of their ingredients rather than overly complicated sauces.
Food & DrinkTHE SPACE
The focal point of our 8,000-square-foot space is the large open-kitchen with a wood and coal burning hearth, perched above the dining room. The elevated cooking stage is the heart of the restaurant, allowing our culinary team to showcase the cuisine. In addition, a wraparound patio, equipped with operable floor-to-ceiling windows, seamlessly integrates the indoor and outdoor spaces. Sand-colored tones complement the interior while unique lighting elements transport guests to the Mediterranean. Each space has numerous event capabilities and allows for up to a 60-person seated occasion.
